Tucked away in Southeast Asia, Vietnam is one of those countries that just sweeps you off your feet and leaves you with an insatiable wanderlust. From the lively streets of Hanoi to the dreamy waters of Ha Long Bay and the bustling markets of Hoi An, Vietnam's got this magnetic charm that's hard to put into words. So, here I am, trying to spill the beans on why Vietnam has totally won my heart.
You see, Vietnam isn't your average travel destination; it's like a captivating mixtape of traditions and modern vibes. It's a place where history meets the present, where ancient temples stand tall next to bustling metropolises. It's a nation that's proudly waving its cultural flag while keeping up with the times. CHAOS
Vietnam is the most stimulating country I’ve ever been to.
The new smells, loud sounds and the sensation that everything around me was always moving, really put my senses into overdrive.
But that's not a bad thing. Whether it was a kind, but persistent Vietnamese woman in your ear trying to sell you the latest (and obviously authentic) pair or Ray Bans, the most obvious chaos is the constant sound of beeping horns.
It’s both hilarious and terrifying just how few seconds can pass without someone honking their horn. When crossing the streets in general, forget what your parents told you. Don’t look both ways, just GO! And when you do go, for the love of all things right in this world...
DO NOT STOP.
What I’m trying to say is, that your eyes and ears will never be bored in this country.

I should mention, that when I travel, I like to travel extremely frugal. But even if that isn’t your style, you won’t make a dent in your bank account living a luxurious lifestyle here.
Vietnam is a budget traveller's paradise, and that's one of the many reasons why I can't get enough of this country. Whether you're a backpacker watching your pennies or a savvy explorer looking for great value, Vietnam has you covered. From affordable guesthouses and hostels that don't sacrifice comfort to delicious street food meals that cost just a few dollars, your wallet can breathe a sigh of relief here.
Even transportation, like the iconic Vietnamese motorbike rides, is remarkably affordable, letting you explore the country without breaking the bank. Whether you're haggling at local markets, savouring a steaming bowl of pho at a street-side stall, or hopping on a scenic train ride, Vietnam proves that you don't have to empty your pockets to have an incredible travel experience. It's this perfect combination of affordability and unforgettable experiences that makes Vietnam an unbeatable destination for budget-conscious adventurers like me.
You’ll find that the US Dollar, Euro, and British Pound have strong purchasing power against the Vietnamese Dong. This means visitors from Europe and the US literally get more bang for their buck.
The country is basically a giant dollar store.
THINGS TO DO
